greg
our good friend greg is moving to the UK along with his beautiful girlfriend sylvia. he has been a good friend to my brother and i ever since we were little asian boys. dustin and katy hosted a going away bash at their (awesome) house and everyone had a good time sending him off. dustin made a cool slide show with a bunch of older pics of all of us growing up and they catered the mediterranean food, none of which i touched. (note: i was actually attending dan and lisa's going away party, which just happened to be at the same house, at the same time, and with the same friends). everyone's leaving! boo!
its cool tho. i'll probly end up seeing him more now that he's moving. now i have someone to visit in europe, and he's already talking of getting a golf tournament together so we can come and get our asses kicked. blimey!

one for the road. er....plane. nevermind.
greg is saddened to leave his two favorite things behind when he leaves: his friends and his booze collection.
here, two weary World of Warcraft team members stop in for a quick tankard of ale.
it is my fervent hope that greg continues his goal of absolute baddassery while in the UK.

rear end

i got rear ended when i was driving around ballard today. i havent been in an accident in quite a while, so i guess i was overdue. the lady was weird about it....she didnt wanna talk to me, and she scribbled her name and number on a piece of paper and handed it to me. then she sped away telling me to call her for her insurance info. im thinking she either doesnt have insurance or was trying to get away before the cop came.
i'll take it in to get fixed next week sometime.

black thumb
ive been trying to learn more about indoor gardening. i actually got this idea from going on the fast. heres pretty much how it went down in my brainpan:
fasting
lemons
lemon tree
lemon smell
herbs
basil
so i have six tiny pots with basil seeds in them that are just starting to sprout. i have no idea if theyll even produce edible basil, but its fun watching them grow. kind of like when u were a kid and u did that school project of growing grass in a milk carton. or people with chia pets, you know what im sayin.
i really have no idea how to raise plants. i know u water them and give them light and sing to them at nite, but outside of that im all thumbs. i have two small bamboo plants in my apartment, one of which i killed this morning by accident. actually, i killed the pot it was in. the plant itself is now recouping in its nice new home, a dirty glass with water in it. im sorry!
i found a garden spot in ballard that sells everything. that place is huge. i forgot the name of it or else id give it some props. i went there on my lunch break and ended up getting three small plants which im keeping in my office near the window. having plants at work has made me very popular and i think will aid me in future promotions and pave the way towards advancement.

Fast: day fifteen
i decided to keep going beyond the ten day fast. im on day 15 and i feel fine. lots of energy. last weekend was a three day weekend, and that was pretty tough. i never watch tv at home, but i spent most of the three days hanging out at jesse's house and was bombarded with about 50 television commercials for food. it was painful.its kind of cool observing how much of our lives are domintated by food. buying food, watching commercials, going out to eat with friends......i find that i have a ton of free time now that i dont have to think about all that.
dunno how long i'll keep doing this fast/cleanse. it feels good, but theres been days of mood swings, cravings, and general pissed-offness. i broke out in a light case of hives about a week ago, a telltale sign that toxins are being flushed from my system. i have a party to go to this friday, so we'll see how that goes. i might try and finish out the month, which would make it a 22 day fast; ive read of people going up to 70 days, and alot of people do 40 day fasts several times a year.

Fast: day five
went out to meet some of my family at Sushi Land. for an hour i sat there and watched all that beautiful sushi pass me by on the conveyer belt. spider rolls. unagi. tuna. salmon. those little ones with crab on top of rice, wrapped in seaweed, whatever theyre called. u know which ones im talkin about.
i noticed that while i'm fasting, i become fascinated with watching people eat. dunno why. i also notice the smells of food more. yesterday jesse and i went to Dick's so he could get a burger to go; on the way home i remember thinking that it smelled like the best thing in the world.

weather
this video was taken about four weeks ago. i tried to drive to work, but was sliding all over and had to pull over. this is where i left my car.
the weather in seattle's been getting alot better. alot better = mad rain, instead of snow and ice. at least i dont have to scrape my car for 15 minutes every morning anymore. now i just have to go thru the whole day looking at the rain.

Fast: day one
this is day one of my ten day fast. so, starting today, im not consuming any kind of food outside of lemonade (purified water, organic lemons, grade B natural maple syrup, and cayenne pepper). this is the second time ive done this particular fast, the first being about a year ago. when i did it then, i actually had a pretty bad cold going into it, so already this time feels better.i had a big dinner last nite with my family at Sea Garden for my sister's birthday. damn that place is good. one thing i noticed from the first time i did the fast, was that i never felt hungry, but i did miss chewing. and the smell of food is enough to drive you crazy.
but overall, im kind of into it. supposedly its supposed to help flush toxins and waste from you system.......your intestines, your pores, your whole body. people have stayed on this particular fast for over 40 days, so 10 days isnt so bad.
